The Bills got three of their injured players back in practice Wednesday.

It happened during 11-on-11 team work. It appeared that Drayton Florence made a successful break on the ball and Terrence McGee was also in the vicinity for the defense, but then the unusual unfolded.
Florence couldn’t control the Ryan Fitzpatrick pass that was intended for Lee Evans, it glanced off his hands but bounced right to an oncoming Terrence McGee. However, the ball was on McGee so quickly he couldn’t react quickly enough and the ball bounced off his arm…
Right into the waiting hands of Lee Evans, who promptly turned up field and scored a would be touchdown. Easily the craziest play of camp so far.

Both Terrence McGee and Donte Whitner were limited again Thursday, but did considerably more in practice.
“They had good practices today,” said Gailey. “We’ll still put them down as limited, but they had really good practices.”
Gailey isn’t ready to make any promises on McGee’s status for Sunday, knowing the cornerback’s nerve problem had a relapse once before. That’s why he wouldn’t fully commit to saying that McGee has turned a corner.
“This is after the second full day, then tomorrow will be the third day and then maybe so,” said Gailey. ”I’m encouraged for him. It’s been so frustrating for him. I’m happy that he’s going to get an opportunity to play because he’s such a competitor. He wants to play. It’s been killing him.”

CB Terrence McGee said he’s going to practice on Wednesday as he tries to return a second time from a nerve problem in his leg.
McGee emphasized that it’s not necessarily an indication as to whether he’s any closer to playing on Sundays again.
“I can’t say whether its good or bad, but I’ll be back out there practicing,” said McGee.
McGee is cautiously optimistic because just two weeks ago he returned to practice only to have the nerve problem return and force him to miss the last two games.

Bills head coach Chan Gailey declared two of his injured players out for Sunday’s game.
Shawn Nelson (migraines) will miss a second straight game due to his unyielding migraine headaches.
“He’s still struggling,” said Gailey.
Nelson had some episodes with migraines as a rookie as well in 2009.
Eric Wood (ankle) will not play for a second straight week after getting rolled up on a running play in Week 11.
Terrence McGee (knee) is listed as doubtful. If he doesn’t play he’ll miss his seventh game this season with a recurring nerve problem in his leg. Gailey said that team physicians have run a battery of tests in an effort to nail down what’s causing the periodic numbness.
