Reed HOF voting history
Here’s the rundown on how the voting has gone each of the past five years that Bills Wall of Famer Andre Reed has been a finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement. Reed is a finalist for a sixth time this year with perhaps his best chance of making the final cut Saturday.
2007 – Reed is eliminated in the first cut from 15 to 10 with both Michael Irvin and Art Monk advancing. Monk was then eliminated when the group was reduced to six, with Irvin making the cut and eventually being selected for enshrinement.
2008 - Reed is eliminated in the first cut from 15 to 10 with both Cris Carter and Art Monk advancing. Carter was then eliminated in the next reduction from 10 to 5, with Monk making the cut and eventually being selected for enshrinement.
2009 – Reed again did not make the cut from 15 to 10. Veteran committee finalist Bob Hayes was the only receiver selected for induction.
2010 – For the first time Reed advances past the first cut while Cris Carter and Tim Brown were both eliminated, but Reed doesn’t make it past the reduction from 10 to 5, with Jerry Rice advancing and being selected for enshrinement.
2011 – Reed again advances past the first cut with Cris Carter and Tim Brown both being eliminated again, but Reed was again ousted in the reduction from 10 to 5, with Shannon Sharpe and Ed Sabol being selected for enshrinement.
The 2012 Hall of Fame induction class will be announced on the NFL Network at 5:30 pm Saturday.

McShay goes pass rusher for Bills
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has put out his latest mock and his pick for the Bills is similar to that of a lot of other draftniks.
McShay has Buffalo taking Alabama DL/OLB Courtney Upshaw. In Buffalo’s new 4-3 defense he’d likely be an end.
What’s interesting are some of the prospects McShay has going ahead of Upshaw at 10. He’s got Iowa OT Riley Reiff going third to Minnesota and doesn’t have Oklahoma St. WR Justin Blackmon coming off the board until the sixth spot (Washington). He’s also got South Carolina’s DE/OLB Melvin Ingram, who I like just as much as Upshaw, going ninth to Miami.

Troup cleared to work out
Bills DT Torell Troup is a certified gym rat, but was not able to work out on the heels of offseason back surgery… until now.
Troup was so excited that he could work out again he spread the news on his twitter account.
TorellTroup I missed the gym so much. Doctors told me not to go crazy though lol. They know me so well.
Last offseason Troup packed 13 pounds on lean muscle on his frame and looked strong in training camp before a chronic back injury flared robbing him of most of his 2011 season. Can only imagine how motivated the big fella is this time around.

WR Wayne to hit free agent market
Colts veteran WR Reggie Wayne is expected to hit the free agent market come March 13th.
That according to the Terre-Haute Tribune Star, who spoke with Colts owner Jim Irsay. Irsay was quoted as saying that their free agent priorities in terms of re-signing their own were with DE Robert Mathis and WR Pierre Garcon. Garcon is eight years younger than the 33-year old Wayne and is clearly seen as a bridge to the future with Irsay admitting the club is in a rebuilding mode.
Wayne was never a speed receiver and at 33 runs a 4.6 40. Buffalo is looking for speed outside to pair with Stevie Johnson provided a new deal can be struck with their top wideout as he’s also a free agent.
Mathis is 30-years old, but Irsay sounded determined to keep the bookend pass rushers (Mathis and Freeney) together.
