DETROIT – After scoring two touchdowns in a game for the first time in his NFL career last weekend in a win over the Eagles, Bears receiver Earl Bennett delivered quite an encore Sunday in Detroit.

According to a Burlington County Times report out of Philadelphia, the Eagles called the Bills to inquire about the availability of a certain running back.
The report cites the Eagles sudden shortage of proven backs with starter LeSean McCoy potentially sidelined with a broken rib. The only other backs on the roster are Mike Bell, Eldra Buckley and former Bills practice squader Joique Bell.
The Bills have not wavered in their stance that they are not interested in trading Marshawn Lynch, who despite some limited work still got more carries than C.J. Spiller or Fred Jackson for the third straight week this past Sunday.

As is usually the case most big NFL personnel decisions are prompted by money. Such is the case with both Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb as the Eagles are likely to dominate offseason headlines until they make a definitive quarterback decision. Vick’s $2.5M bonus owed him on March 9th isn’t as cost prohibitive as McNabb’s, making the deadline to determine his future much clearer.
As the Delaware County Times points out, McNabb is due a $6.2M bonus in early May if he’s still on the roster. If they have any remote thoughts of moving him, there’s no way the Eagles wait until after the pay date to make the call, even without a salary cap.
Paying Vick’s bonus to keep him under contract would indicate a desire for the Eagles to get something in return for him instead of letting him go free. But with McNabb it’s a clear fish or cut bait with that kind of bonus number.
Odds are the decision will be made before then, perhaps during the draft (April 22-24) if they want to move him.

Eagles QB Michael Vick has been given assurances by Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid that he will be traded before the NFL Draft. That according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Vick confirmed he has discussed his future with his agent and what the Eagles might do when he appeared on the Dan Patrick radio show Monday.
“Me and my agent spoke briefly about 2 days ago,” Vick said on Dan Patrick’s radio show. “He’s just trying to get an understanding on what we thought was the best-case scenario and how we should approach the situation in regards to being respectful. We thought that was important. We didn’t put a timetable on it but it should happen pretty soon. So, we’ll see.”
Now it’s unlikely that the Eagles would pick up the $5M option on Vick’s contract. Instead Philadelphia would probably perform a sign and trade deal with whatever team offers the most in a trade.
The Philadelphia Daily News suspects Vick could fetch a fourth-round pick. I would anticipate a team trading for Vick to offer a conditional draft pick, similar to what the Jets did with Brett Favre.
Hard to say they could get a fourth, knowing Vick wants to be moved. I think it’s more likely to be a conditional fifth-round pick with the chance to as high as a 2nd or 3rd at best based on playing time and team success in all likelihood.
